Replacing roof tiles in Clapham Common, South London, SW12
The weather is not kind to us and when you have a leaky roof it can cause a lot of damage and cost a substantial amount of money. South London Refurbishments is taking on a project in Clapham Common, where patch repairs have been carried out previously but once a roof has a leak it is sometimes hard to pinpoint where exactly the water penetrates into the property. We have to remove the roof tiles in its entirety, including ridge tiles, checking the felt and batten underneath for any defects. We will also be checking the lead flashing, fascia, soffits, gutters and rectify the issues where needed. We will be fitting new Slate tiles and ridge tiles and then re-fixing all lead and flashing. It goes without saying all rubbish is removed from site and we will carry out a water test on the new roof.

Extension works completed in Dulwich, South East London, SE22
Semi-detached house in Dulwich, SE22 needed extension work, roof repaired with dome lights
South London Refurbishments were called in to a property where the extension work had already commenced but the existing builder had not finished the project and left the property unsafe. There was no adequate foundation and roof was constructed in an unprofessional manner where drainage was unacceptable and the overall job was very poor quality.
After liaising with our structural engineer, we needed to support the entire back of the house in the first instance and we needed to underpin the back of the house. The steel work was not adequately fitted which we needed to rectify in the first instance. We had to take the roof off in its entirety and fitted new roof with dome roof lights. The concrete floor needed to come up as there was no drainage to the property, reconcrete the new extension in its entirety.
We carried out the relevant electrical and plumbing work to the extension. Once the building was safe and all remedial works carried out we decorated the property to a high standard, fitted oak flooring and skirtings. At the end of the project, we landscaped the garden and tidied up the shed adjacent to the house. Client has been abroad since the project commenced due to work commitment and we updated the client regularly in relation to the progress of the project.

Loft conversion is almost complete in Clapham and starting a side return/rear extension at the same property in South London
We are nearing to an end of a loft conversion in South London, Clapham Junction. Originally it started as a bedroom with en-suite loft conversion however it is now a bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. We have been working closely with our structural engineer, architect and have regular contact with the Building Control. We are at the stage where we are plastering the walls and we will be starting the decoration shortly.
In the meantime, we have started the ground-work for the wrap-around extension. If the weather is kind to us (not at the moment!), we shall be doing the foundation and then erect the walls shortly.

Conservatory works, joint adventure with Marston & Langinger, South Kensinton/Chelsea, South London
Another project completed where South London Refurbishments built the base of the conservatory. Once Marston & Langinger fitted the conservatory we carried out all necessary led work and fitted guttering. The tricky part to this job was that the property was on the first floor!
